Bulls go up 3-0

The Bulls are one win from sending the defending NBA champions home for the summer.

Ben Gordon scored 27 points, Luol Deng added 24 and 11 rebounds and Chicago used a 15-2 fourth-quarter run to seize control of a 104-96 victory over the Heat in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference first-round series Friday night.

Chicago started the game out controlling the tempo and continuing their hot shooting from the first game by hitting 60% from the field to take a 29-23 first quarter lead. Deng led the way while Gordon sat on the bench with two personal fouls.

The second quarter was different. At one time in the game the Bulls made 11 turnovers while Miami didn't make none. It was then that Miami made their run by taking a 52-45 halftime lead.

The game had similarities from the playoffs last year. The Bulls had a chance to go up 3-2 in the series but Miami made a comeback being lead by Wade. This game was no different. Dewayne Wade and Antoine Walker lead the charge.

The Bulls struggled through the first half of the 3rd quarter; however, by the end of the period they had managed to cut the lead to just 4 points.

The fourth quarter was all Chicago. The Bulls outscored Miami by 12 points to take the win.

Kirk Hinrich had 22 points for Chicago. The Bulls out rebounded Miami 44-33.

Miami was lead by Wade with 28, Oneal had 23 and 13 rebounds.
