Don't blame Anthony Reyes. He struck out 5 batters and 2/3 of his pitches were strikes. He pitched 6 innings and gave up just 3 hits and 2 runs, yet the Redbird's bats remained silent once more. According to Daniel Berk of MLB.com, the Cardinals have scored in just three innings of the 34 innings played during this recent homestand. That won't win many games. They managed to score 2 runs but that was not enough to win. The team had just 4 hits for the entire game.
WP McClellan 1-0 Fuentes got his 8th save.
LP Falkenborg 0-1
Reyes is still 0-5 with an era of 5.03
First baseman Todd Helton hit his 3rd home run of the season in the 2nd inning off of Reyes.
