Ric Bucher on ESPN hinted that Kobe Bryant wants out of LA. He said Kobe is publicly pining for a return of Jerry West. If Jerry is not going to be brought back appearently kobe is not happy with the process going on in Los Angeles so therefore he wants to be traded. Bucher mentioned that Chicago is a likely team where Kobe could go to. Reason being is young assets and trading pieces.
How do I feel about the possible trade? As long as we do not gut out team how can I say no? If we get to keep Wallace, Thomas, and Deng, then add Kobe, that is an instant contender in the east, if not the entire NBA.
You have to realisticly consider doing such a trade. Kobe would be the tall guard we need. He plays both ends of the floor and his practice habits fits in with the way the team is ran. He is the go to guy we need when our jump shots are not falling.
Now, do I think this will happen? No. I would be very surprised if Kobe wound up in Chicago next season.
