After a sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the St Louis Cardinals got back to their losing ways by losing 2 out 3 to Washington. That included a 7-2 loss on Sunday.
The Cardinals missed a golden opportunity on Sunday because Adam Wainwright had one of his best starts of the year, going seven innings and allowing just two runs on seven hits. He didn't walk a batter and struck out six.
WP Saul Rivera 1-1
LP Adam Wainwright 4-4 and now has an ERA of 5.59
