For 2 and 1/2 innings it looked like the Cardinals was going to win another game. They took a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the third against the Dodgers, then the bottom fell out! Los Angeles scored 6 runs and that proved to be too much for St Louis to overcome as they lost 9-7.
Adam Wainwright gave up 7 hits and 8 runs in his brief appearance and none of the runs were home runs.
The Cardinals pounded out 12 hits.
